This 1951 GMC Pickup Truck as been in the owner’s family a long time. Originally it was his fathers car.
Another shop had dome some work on the front end about 6 months ago, and recently the front end fell apart. Some cotter keys weren’t installed and some bolts backed out, which ended up dropping a front wheel in his driveway (thank goodness!).
He brought it to us so we could look it over, and we ended up replacing the two lower ball joints and gave it another once over.
We’re going to be working on the brakes – they don’t work right. They’re soft and spongy. The car doesn’t stop well, so we’re going to be re-engineering the brakes.
